These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Slash Command application and website (the "Service"), provided by Choop Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Choop Labs," "we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Slash Command is a local-first macOS app that expands the commands you type into text, transforms selected text with AI, and keeps a searchable clipboard history. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Service for your personal or internal business use. You may not:

Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Service;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
Remove or alter any proprietary notices;
Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others; or
Use, export, or re-export the Service in violation of U.S. export-control or sanctions laws, or use it if you are located in an embargoed country or on a U.S. government denied-party list.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

4. Free tier and accounts

Slash Command offers a free tier that works without an account. If we introduce optional accounts, you are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.

5. Subscriptions, billing & the Merchant of Record

Paid plans (such as Pro and Max) may be offered on a subscription basis. When paid plans are available, purchases are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your transaction, handles billing and applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel beforehand.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your paid features remain active through the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices. Changes apply to future billing periods, and we will give you reasonable notice before they take effect.
Free tier: The free tier does not expire, so you can keep using it and your data even if you cancel a paid plan.

6. Refunds

Because the free tier lets you evaluate the app before paying, paid subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If something went wrong, contact us at support@slashcommand.app within 14 days of a charge and we'll work with you in good faith; eligible refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy.

7. AI commands and third-party services

AI commands rely on third-party AI providers. If you bring your own API key, your use of that provider is governed by the provider's terms, and you are responsible for any usage and costs incurred under your key. AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable for a given purpose; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it. The Service may also interoperate with other third-party services, each governed by its own terms.

8. Your content

You retain all rights to the commands, snippets, text, and other content you create or process with the Service ("Your Content"). As described in our Privacy Policy, Your Content stays on your device, and we do not claim ownership of it.

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Choop Labs and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Choop Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, including for death or personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or non-excludable statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Choop Labs from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9–12) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Choop Labs regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them, for example in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, or of any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where applicable law so provides.
